Hey Christine,

It's the little things that count and those little messages in a fortune cookie can be quite inspiring.
I had no idea that they were not really invented in China either.

When I was a kid we used to always end the reading of a fortune cookie with the words "in bed"...almost like an amen after prayer. I still do it to this day and it gives quite a chuckle, especially some of the ones you just posted...lol

Scott

PS: Your comment love plug in is about to expire and will no longer work...I got that message when I was about to post this comment...thought you might like to know. :)

Hello Christine,
I always thought Fortune Cookies came from China. I am surprised to see they came from California. I loved your post. Next time I eat a Fortune Cookie I will save the saying.
These quotes were wonderful to share.
It was fun to ready your son's response as well.

Thanks again for sharing...

That's funny! I collect those fortunes, too! :) I keep them in an empty fish bowl. I like how some offer really good advice and others are sort of like something a fortune teller or astrologer would tell you. Stuff that can apply to anyone. I like to sprinkle the advice ones in conversations with my girlfriends. I think it's hilarious.

I know we all get burned out from time to time and shifting our attention on other things for a while definitely helps. I agree with Joyce and do something different every 2 hours. Thank you for sharing this post.

I decided to revisit this article because yesterday was one of THOSE days - no problem getting up and moving in the morning - but then I just sat here staring at the computer screen. Had a really great plan for the day - my brain just refused to function. Thanks for the tips!

Balance is so important when you are working at home. One of my mentors told me to break the day up into 2 hour shifts. This is so helpful when working on the computer since time has no meaning when your are online.

Thanks for sharing some of these techniques with us Christine.

Taking action on doing the things we KNOW will benefit us (such as working out, or eating nutritiously most days of the week) is what truly either defines or separates us from being successful or NOT.

I also believe in taking breaks to help us rejuvenate and refresh our minds and bodies. It's after our rests when we find more ideas flow to us naturally and things make more sense.

Looking forward to learning what else you have in store for us Christine.

Christine,
Wow that was a great post. That made me think about just last night trying to shoot a video and just couldn't in my mind get the lines right so to speak. It had to be perfect and you know what when it didn't get there guess what I quit. Thanks for reminding me that I don't have to perfect but just keep striving to be better.
